On June 6, 2024, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) outlet claimed that 122 gigabytes of data, consisting of 361,000,000 email accounts of Telegram users, were leaked, and warned users who verified their Telegram accounts with their personal email account to change the phone number linked to the account or enable two-step verification.
