On November 3, 2015, the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, pro-Palestinian hackers took over the Twitter account of Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz using it to tweet threats in Hebrew against Israelis. One tweet (seen above) read: "The last remanence of Balfour's betrayal. Soon the mothers of our martyrs will drink the blood of your soldiers and settlers." Other tweets extolled the recent round of violence against Israelis, stating that "the knives of the intifada await you and have chased away your armed soldiers."

Twitter eventually restored the account.
