Pro-Saudi Hackers Target Iranian TV Social Media Accounts, Falsely Report Death Of Houthi Leader

On April 12, 2015, the social media accounts for the Arabic-Language Iranian TV channel Al-Alam were hacked by the pro-Saudi hacker group Cyber Emotion. The hackers used Al-Alam's Twitter to tweet false news of the death of the Iranian-backed Houthi rebel leader as well as the personal data of Al-Alam employees. The YouTube channel featured a video praising Saudi King Salman bin 'Abd Al-'Aziz.
