On August 1, 2016, Security Affairs published an interview with a member of The PøwerfulGreəkArmy (PGA), a hacking group engaged against ISIS propaganda online. The hacker described PGA as a new hacking team with seven members focused on stopping pedophiles and ISIS, and said that it had participated in Anonymous campaigns such as #OpIcarus and #OpISIS.
The hacker said that he had met the other members in a hacking forum, and described their greatest hacking challenge was a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack that brought down EU servers for 35 minutes. He also claimed that they had brought down the Pokemon Go servers and that they target ISIS sites, pedophile accounts, and Turkish sites. Source: securityaffairs.co, August 1, 2016
