On December 9, 2015, the Syrian Electronic Army, responding to a question on Twitter, confirmed that team member "The PrO" was still alive and that the group was still active despite a lengthy period of seeming inactivity. They added that they are choosing to not focus on media or public targets at this time. User ironnet wrote: "Did 'ThePrO' killed [sic] or what happened to your team? No more hacks nor products." The SEA responded: "No, he is so much alive, but we are not focusing on media/public targets lately, so we might look inactive but that's not true."
