On November 1, 2014, the Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) released its SEANux 1.0 Linux distribution - a custom made Linux operating system that they claim is optimized for anonymity and hacking. The SEA also posted instructions on downloading and installing the distribution, as well as the system requirements.
The SEA's official Twitter account (@Official_SEA16) retweeted pictures from numerous users who took pictures of their computers running SEANux. They also noted that the distribution was downloaded approximately 3,000 times in the first day since becoming available for download.
