A Telegram channel that lists a WhatsApp number with a Turkish country code for donations to fighters in Syria says it is "giving aid to those in need." Though the channel primarily solicits donations in English, German, and Arabic, there is also one post in Turkish and another in Russian. The channel, which was created on March 20, 2018 and as of this writing has 263 members, has shared photos of donors holding up the US dollars that they donate, as well as photos of the people in Syria who receive the donations. On March 28, 2018, The Telegram channel was promoted by a pro-Al-Qaeda Telegram channel.
