On November 25, 2015, the Turkish hacker group Turk Hack Team conducted a successful DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack on the official website of the Russian Central Bank, forcing it to go offline briefly. The hackers released the following message to Russia: "Don't ever try to violate our airspace again, we are Turks and we don't back down."
