On December 1, 2024, Islamist militants stormed the presidential palace of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad in Aleppo. Sawt Beirut International Radio released a video showing the militants inside the palace, where they denounced Al-Assad, calling him a "dog" and exclaiming, "May he go to Hell."

Militant: "We are inside the Presidential palace. Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar! This is the bedroom of the dog [Bashar Al-Assad]... This is his Jacuzzi. Allah Akbar! Yes, it is a labyrinth. This is the master bedroom. Here it is... Even his phone is working. There is [a list] of numbers. Just a second. May he go to Hell. I'll take you to the kitchen... Allah Akbar! Man, how many bedrooms are there? God... Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar!"
