This video-clip, posted on the Internet on October 30, is the "recorded will" of Al-Qassam Brigades fighter Abdallah Murtaja. On November 14, UNESCO retracted its August 29 condemnation of the killing of Al-Aqsa TV reporter Abdallah Murtaja in Gaza, after it transpired that Murtaja was in fact a fighter in the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
Following are excerpts:
Abdallah Murtaja: I say to my wife: Know that no house or fortress can shield one from the fate decreed by Allah. I did what I did only to please Allah. Do not grieve or shed tears, for you shall be in charge of the black-eyed virgins in Paradise. May you continue to be the steadfast and pious woman that I have known. I ask that you be good to our children. Teach them to love Allah, the Quran, the Prophet Muhammad, and Jihad for the sake of Allah, so that the word of Allah reigns supreme.

I beseech you to die for the same cause for which our forefathers died – monotheism and Jihad.
