In a November 2, 2024, episode of the Muslim Unapologetic podcast on YouTube, Australian Islamic scholar Wissam “Abu Ousayd” Haddad responded to legal action taken against him by the Executive Council of Australian Jewry (ECAJ) over antisemitic remarks he made at the Al Madina Dawah Centre in Sydney. In response to the lawsuit, which accused him of calling Jews "vile, evil, and mischievous," Haddad quoted passages from the Bible that describe Jews as “evil.” He also addressed another statement included in the lawsuit, in which he claimed that "the Jews have their hand in everything," stating that, according to some historians, this is one of the reasons Hitler and the Nazis targeted Jews during the Holocaust. It should be noted that the YouTube thumbnail used by the Muslim Unapologetic podcast for this episode featured an image of a man mockingly dressed as an ultra-Orthodox Jew, in a manner commonly associated with online antisemitic imagery.
