A British foreign fighter, interviewed in a trench in one of the battlefronts of northern Syria, talked about his motivation in going to Syria and described his life there. The fighter, going by the name "Abu Abdullah Britani," said that he preferred Al-Qaeda to ISIS, but did not belong to either group. Admitting that he missed some things about home - friends, family, and certain foods - he said that he felt part of a community and wouldn't want to go back. "Sometimes violence can only be dealt with by force," Abu Abdullah told U.S. journalist Bilal Abdul Kareem in the "Face the Truth" interview, posted on the Internet on May 16.
