Hussam Ayloush, director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Los Angeles chapter discussed the June 27, 2024 presidential debate in his Friday sermon at Rancho Cucamonga, California. He said that President Biden, whom he called "our wimpy genocidal president" is enabling the "genocide" in Gaza, and he thanked Allah for him doing "miserably" in his debate, because this "exposed him." Ayloush continued to claim that for many years, the Zionists have controlled the way people in America think and act, by spreading misinformation in America through intimidation. He accused the Zionists of spreading misinformation and "messing up the minds" of Americans and "people around the world." Hussam Ayloush's Friday sermon was streamed live on the YouTube channel of the Islamic Center of Inland Empire on YouTube on June 28, 2024.

Hussam Ayloush: "This is a genocide, no debate. The only ones who are denying the genocide [in Gaza] are the ones committing the genocide, or those enabling it, such as our wimpy, genocidal president in the White House, who performed miserably during his debate yesterday – thank Allah for that. Because, may Allah expose him in this world and in the afterlife.

"For many, many years they have controlled – all the Zionists and their supporters – they have controlled how people think and act by intimidating others. Now the tide is turning, so show your solidarity.

"Politicians are paying attention. Politicians follow the path of least resistance. They think that the only player – because that's how it used to be for many years – the only player, factor, or agent in the issue of Palestine and Israel in America in politics is AIPAC – the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Because things are changing today and the voice of those who care about ending the genocide is becoming more vocal, politicians are starting to pay attention, and we see that. They are toning down the shameful, unconditional support they give [Israel].
