In a July 12, 2024 Friday sermon at the Chino Valley Islamic Center in California, CAIR - Council on American-Islamic Relations official Samer Naseredden said that the "Zionist entity" was on the precipice of collapse. He said that it is as though their Jenga blocks are being removed one by one and its base is becoming weaker. Naseredden continued to say that this is the reason they are so "disgusting with their gaslighting," "victim narrative," and their ability to "gaslight us into thinking that the Palestinians are the ones who are at fault." He added that they are planning and setting the foundations for "much oppression" against Muslims in the United States and this is why the work of CAIR is so important.
The sermon was streamed live on the YouTube channel of the Chino Valley Islamic Center. In portions of the sermon not included in the clip, Samer Naseredden, an associate outreach manager of CAIR-LA, explained that he is part of a fund raising and political action campaign by CAIR and an affiliate group. He also asked the attendees to fill out a questionnaire on "campus atmosphere" in order to counter other such surveys. He said that even if one attends an online class, they would be considered a student. It is worth noting that Samer Naseredden is a former MAS – Muslim American Society youth director and prior to that he was a chaplain and spiritual director at Northeastern University.
Samer Naseredden: "We have to be ready to stand up for justice. We have to have the courage to stand up for justice. Because, brothers and sisters, the Zionist entity, inshallah, by the will of Allah, is on the precipice of collapse. It may not appear that way they are extremely fragile. It's like Jenga blocks. You've all played Jenga, right? It's sturdy, you take one, its easy. Everybody's taking the piece out quickly, until pieces start to be taken out. It starts to get a little rickety. And then you have got to be very careful. And that's what you see right now. They are so desperate because the blocks are being taken out and one by one. Their base is getting weaker.
"And that's why they are so disgusting with their gaslighting. With the way that they and this victim narrative that they've strung together, so that any time there was a peaceful protest that we had, fighting the illegal sale of Palestinian land. And then peaceful protesters are able to be... easily weave this narrative that they are violent that they are antisemitic etcetera. They are able to gaslight us into thinking that the Palestinians are the ones who are at fault, and that we as Americans fighting for justice in this country were somehow at fault. Why? They are able to do that because they are getting so desperate.

"The work of care and political advocacy in this country has never been more important than in this very moment, because there is... I'm not a conspiracy theorist. I'm not trying to be alarmist. But they are planning and setting the foundation for much oppression of Muslims in this country.

"So the work has to be ongoing, that we build the collective Muslim power to ensure we can stop those bills and enact our own agenda of justice and truth."
