Coptic Priest Boulos Ewida in Support of Al-Sisi for Presidency: I Melt out of Love for Him

A video-clip posted on the Internet on January 31, 2014 shows Coptic priest Boulos Ewida praising Al-Sisi and endorsing his candidacy for the presidency. "When I look at his picture, I melt with love because he is so beautiful," he said. Ewida was involved in a previous incident two years ago, when he disrobed in the lobby of a Cairo hotel at the request of the security staff. The 2011 incident, which was caught on camera, led to protests and to his suspension from the church.

Following are excerpts from Ewida's statement regarding Al-Sisi's candidacy:

Boulos Ewida: Let's get to the point. First, with regard to the handsome Field-Marshal Abd Al-Fattah Al-Sisi... He is cute. His looks, his appearance... I am glad that we are getting an elegant president, who we can be proud of in public.

He is handsome. He is attractive. It's the way he looks, the way he smiles. If it was up to me, I would have called him Handsome Al-Sisi. He is a beautiful human being in all aspects. Finally, God has sent us a president who has both stature and elegance, who could make us proud in front of the cameras and the world. When I look at his picture, I melt with love because he is so beautiful. This is something that should make us happy.

Secondly, if the women of Egypt are in love with him, they should be forgiven. Who could possibly look at handsome, beautiful Sisi without falling in love with him? I myself am melting with love for him.
