Fadhl Al-Rube'i, Iraqi Governing Council Member, Slams U.S. Policies in Iraq.

Fadhl Al-Rube'i, a member of the Iraqi governing council was interviewed on the Lebanese channel, New TV, and slammed the U.S. on the backdrop of the Abu Ghureib abuses. Following are excertps from his comments:

Fadhl Rube'i The so-called criminal history of the US in the world proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that the U.S. is one of the most infamous countries in history in the sphere of committing crimes. As we are witnessing today, the Iraqis are crying out, Save us from this democracy!

The first issue is that there is a culture of violation is rooted in the American combat doctrine, as we have seen in Vietnam, Somalia, Lebanon, and any other place where the U.S. has intervened. The culture of violations is a rooted and organic part of the American political culture. The soldiers derive this from their political ideology and use it to extort confessions or so-called "information" from their detainees and accused.

Let me first doubt the American version, which was leaked to the media and created the myth of the so-called Abu Mus'ab Al-Zaraqawi. Personally, I have doubts, and I have no proof that this person is real and was not invented by the Pentagon's intelligence and disinformation center. I do not know exactly and I did not hear. The U.S. has moral and political responsibility to the entire world to show evidence that the so-called Abu Mus'ab Al-Zaraqawi is a real person. Before the war we never heardof a hero named Abu Mus'ab Al-Zaraqawi. Suddenly this hero who resists the U.S. and has all these technologicaland political capabilities and has supporters, is invented. We never heard of such a person before the war.
