Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki responded to Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel by calling him a "lunatic individual" who has "joined terrorism." "We must boycott this administration and must not maintain any contact with the head of the serpent," he said, speaking on Mayadeen TV on December 6.
Abbas Zaki: "[The Jerusalem declaration] This is clear evidence that Trump has joined terrorism, because occupation is the highest form of terrorism. He is the only U.S. president to accept the Israeli skullcap, and to perform Jewish rites. He seems to have been influenced by his daughter, who is married to Kushner.

He does not know what place Jerusalem holds in the hearts of the Christians, who believe that Christ was resurrected in Jerusalem – and indeed, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher is located there – and in the hearts of the Muslims.
