General (Ret.) Mustafa Hamdan, former head of the Lebanese Presidential Guard, said on a May 31, 2024 show that aired on Al-Manar TV (Hizbullah-Lebanon) that he regrets being unable to respond to the 1982 war with Israel. He continued to say that he "would like to kill a Jew." Hamdan added that if he is traveling somewhere and sees a Jew, he doesn't know what he is going to do. He said: "I'm serious. I'm not kidding."
Mustafa Hamden: "The Palestinians are a people of giants. Not just them. We, too, pulled our children out of the rubble, in 1982, in the heart of Beirut.

"This has more than just affected me. I regret not being able to do anything. Even if they call me a racist or whatever, I would kill a Jew. If I were to see a Jew, wherever this may be, I would like to kill him. If I travel anywhere, I don't know what I am going to do. I'm serious. I'm not kidding."
