In a December 15, 2023 Friday sermon at Masjidus Sunni in Cape Town, South Africa, which was uploaded to the mosque’s YouTube channel, Sheikh Riyadh Walls said that Zionism is fascism and that Israel has a savage, racist, and terrorist mindset. He said that only the Muslim army can put an end to this fascism, like the end of Nazism after world War II. He said that if the Muslims leave the path of Jihad, which he stressed means fighting for Allah, then Allah will bring upon them humiliation.
Riyadh Walls: "[The Hadith says:] 'And you have left Jihad...' And you leave fighting on the path of Allah. Fighting! Please don't come in this Hadith, with Jihad of the soul.

"And you will understand that what is happening right now is part of the exact same project, that began over 75 years ago, with the same mindset, with the same genocidal mindset, the same ethnic cleansing mindset, the same savage, racist, terrorist Zionist mindset, because that's what Zionism is. Zionism is Fascism.

"The Zionists – they would like to make Gaza totally uninhabitable. And Gaza is on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe like the world has never seen before. Why never seen before? Because we are watching it live, and nobody is doing anything about it. So I say like our brothers in Afghanistan have said: Where are the Muslims armies? It is only when the Muslim armies have gathered that we are going to be able to put an end to this fascism like the fascism of the Nazis that was put an end to at the end of the Second World War.
