Islamic Jihad Music Video Shows Veiled Women Shooting Guns and Training: We Are Martyrdom-Seekers Defending Al-Aqsa

The Islamic Jihad militant group in Gaza released a music video titled "The Honorable Women of Jihad." The video shows veiled women marching, doing military drills, and shooting firearms while wearing various forms of military garb, and it occasionally overlays with pictures of "martyred" women. The song lyrics describe the women as mothers of leaders, modern-day Khansaas (Khansaa was a 7^th-century Islamic heroine,) and martyrdom-seekers who are defending Al-Aqsa and redeeming Palestine from the plundering occupiers. The video was uploaded to the Women's Action Department of the Islamic Jihad Movement's Facebook page on November 13, 2018.

We are the sad tears of its mihrab. We are the balm that will heal its wound. We are the daughters of the knives.

We are looking at the land of the Prophet's night journey. We yearn for Palestine. We are the wives of the martyrs and the prisoners, and we are the sisters of the mujahideen.

With our faith we will destroy the plunderer – through preparations and training. We prepared ourselves despite the difficulties – we, the honorable women who will defend the country. He dagger strikes and it will not be feeble. A drawn sword will not falter, it will burn the executioner's illusions. The battlegrounds of Jihad will not be abandoned.
