Iraqi politician Hameed Al-Hayes, head of the Al-Anbar Salvation Council, recently said that if he could, he would drop two nuclear bombs on the ISIS members in Al-Anbar Province. When asked by the Hona Baghdad TV interviewer about the civilians in Al-Anbar, he responded: "You mean the civilians collaborating with ISIS?" He further said: "There are chemical weapons that would kill the ISIS fighters and their ilk - may they go to Hell... If only I had that kind of weapons, I would strike them."
Following are excerpts from the interview, which aired on December 23, 2015.
Interviewer: You admire Qassem Soleimani, and wish that you could meet him.
Hameed Al-Hayes: Says who?
Interviewer: You said so. You said: "I admire this figure"…
Hameed Al-Hayes: He is a fighter, yes, in the service of Iran. He brought glory upon Iran and built up its army. I hope that there will be an Iraqi who will build a similar powerful army to defend Iraq with it.

Interviewer: You said in the past: "I will drop these two nuclear bombs on Al-Anbar Province. I will put an end to everything that exists in Al-Anbar, and I will start a new life."
Hameed Al-Hayes: Of course I would. If those two bombs really worked, I would have been willing to give you the shirt off my back for them.
I would drop them on the ISIS members in Al-Anbar. We need to get rid of them…
Interviewer: What about the civilians there?
Hameed Al-Hayes: You mean the civilians collaborating with ISIS?
Interviewer: There are civilians who collaborate with them?
Hameed Al-Hayes: Of course.
Interviewer: But they are forced to do so.
Hameed Al-Hayes: No, they aren't. Not at all. But it's convenient for them. When a kilogram of meat cost only 3,000, they sold themselves out cheap. They said: "The Islamic State is a good thing." Now the Russian and Iraqi planes have cut off the supply lines, so they call me and say: "Come and save us. Give us money, so that we can leave."
Interviewer: What right do you have to drop a nuclear bomb on Al-Anbar?
Hameed Al-Hayes: I wouldn't be dropping it on Al-Anbar, but on the ISIS members who took Al-Anbar from us without any effort. They took the people from their homes, and let them die in the deserts…
Interviewer: If your family was in Al-Anbar, would you still drop those bombs?
Hameed Al-Hayes: Along with ISIS?
Interviewer: I'm asking you: If your family was in Al-Anbar…
Hameed Al-Hayes: Along with ISIS?
Interviewer: The people of Al-Anbar don't support ISIS.
Hameed Al-Hayes: Under ISIS control?
Interviewer: Do they support ISIS?
Hameed Al-Hayes: Not all Anbaris. I didn't say this. Those who don't support ISIS are the 1,150,000 refugees and more who fled the oppression of ISIS. As for the rest, I'm not sorry for them.
Interviewer: What you are saying is a little strange. You would like to drop these two nuclear bombs on ISIS…
Hameed Al-Hayes: Chemical weapons are weapons of mass destruction, but nuclear bombs you can drop on some areas…
Interviewer: You want to destroy Al-Anbar…
Hameed Al-Hayes: I want to destroy the ISIS members there.
Interviewer: But Al-Anbar would be destroyed.
Hameed Al-Hayes: No, it wouldn't. Quite the contrary. There are chemical weapons that put you to sleep for only 48 hours. There are chemical weapons that would kill the ISIS fighters and their ilk – may they go to Hell… If only I had that kind of weapon, I would strike them… You know that two days ago, ISIS brought experts to the Al-Muthanna Chemical Weapons Facility, because these are weapons underground [from the Saddam era], which they have not managed to take. You know that if they get their hands on it, they could use it against Baghdad?
Interviewer: Are you aware of that?
Hameed Al-Hayes: 15 French experts [came there] – ISIS members, not French citizens. Do you know that they are capable of wiping out Baghdad?
Interviewer: How do you know all this?
Hameed Al-Hayes: I have all the info. I'm a treasure trove of information. Do you have any communication with ISIS? ISIS would send me threatening messages. They would threaten me, and I would threaten back.
