Hizbullah Official Nawaf Mousawi On Ground War With Israel: We Love War, War Is What We Do; Ground War Is Our Only Way To Smash Their Heads And Break Their Backs

Hizbullah official Nawaf Mousawi responded in a September 10, 2024 show on Al-Manar TV (Hizbullah-Lebanon) to Israeli talk of a potential ground war with Lebanon. He said that Hizbullah fighters crave a ground war with Israel and that this is the only way to smash the Israeli’s heads and break their backs. Mousawi stated: "Fighting is what we do." He warned that the number of martyrdom-seekers in Lebanon has increased by several dozen times compared to those who faced Israel in the 1982 war.

Nawaf Mousawi: "[Israel] is talking about a ground war. Okay. Never have they had the upper hand when we met them in a ground war. People who threaten us with a ground war... I know that we have fighters who crave for a ground war to the point that they are willing to grab Israel by the neck and drag him into a ground war.

"They should remember who we are. We are the same people we were in 1982, and there is a new generation. We had martyrdom-seekers in 1982, and you think that we don't have them now? Today, there are dozens-time more martyrdom seekers than there were in 1982.

"If they want to disrupt the security in the region and the whole world – so be it. They are using the language of war with us, while we are lovers of war. After all, fighting is what we do.

"If you asked me, I would have told you that I support a ground war.
