In his January 3, 2025 Friday sermon in Mashhad, Iran, Ahmad Alamolhoda, Khamenei's Representative in the Khorasan Razavi Province and father-in-law of Former president Raisi, said that the fact that the Al-Assad regime in Syria has fallen and the terrorists have taken over the government in Syria doesn't necessarily mean a defeat for the Iranian resistance. He explained that the resistance will produce another resistance movement to confront the enemy's schemes.
Ahmad Alamolhoda: "Brothers and sister, the regime in Syria has fallen. The terrorists have taken over Syria. The Al-Assad government has been erased, but this does not mean that it is over. As long as Syria was in the frontline of the resistance, we had a certain plan for this resistance.
If Syria is meant to be in the hands of the terrorists now, it does not mean that we have been defeated in our resistance. We need to produce another movement in the field of resistance, in order to confront the schemes of the enemy, and we will do so."
