Abdullah Mohtadi, the Secretary-General of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan, said in a September 20, 2020 interview on BBC Arabic (U.K.) that his party wants Iran to have peace with its people and with Israel, the Arab countries, the United States, and Russia. He said that he does not want to destroy Israel or to chant anti-Israel slogans, and that he wants Iran to be a responsible member of the international community.

Abdullah Mohtadi: "We want Iran of the future to have peace with its own people, as well as with its neighbors, whether Arabs or Israelis. We do not want to destroy Israel. What is wrong with that? Do you want us to be enemies of Israel? Or of Saudi Arabia?"

Interviewer: "Does this mean that you will cooperate with anyone supporting the Kurdish [statehood] plans in the region?"

Mohtadi: "As Kurds and as Iranians, we want our country to be a responsible member of the international community. We want it to be a normal country and to have good relations with the West as well as with the East, with the United States as well as with Russia, with the Arab counties as well as with Israel. We do not want our country to be a source of provocation for others. We do not want our country to voice slogans about the destruction of Israel or the Saud clan, or this or that country. We want peace and good neighborly relations with others."
