Following are excerpts from an interview with Said Mostaghasi, director of the Iranian TV series "The Secrets of Armageddon". The interview aired on IRINN, the Iranian news channel, on September 25, 2008.
Said Mostaghasi: Zionism already existed three or four centuries ago – in the 16th century – although it wasn't called Zionism then. What is the connection between [Zionism] and the plan [for an Israel] "from the Nile to the Euphrates"? They acted very slowly. They have a very well-known text called The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, which contains many issues, including all their goals and plans. There are 24 protocols. They claim that The Protocols does not belong to them, but there are many documents and many reliable people who have determined that it indeed belongs to the Zionists. The Protocols describes a gradual process that takes place worldwide, and explains how they will take over the world. The fundamental issue is not [expansion] from the Nile to Euphrates – the "Greater Israel" that they talk about now, from the Nile to the Euphrates. Instead, their main goal is world domination. The "Nile to the Euphrates" plan and the establishment of the State of Israel are tactical measures, but the fundamental goal is to take over the world.
They began this plan three or four centuries ago – or perhaps earlier, but we have documents regarding the past three or four centuries – and it has progressed in a decisive manner.
Interviewer: You are talking about The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, which Herzl and his successors have tried to implement. What are these protocols? What do they contain?
Said Mostaghasi: There are 24 protocols, which constitute a charter...
Interviewer: ...which they agreed upon.
Said Mostaghasi: That's right. The precise date of the The Protocols is unknown. It is from the late 19th century, when the Czar's regime attacked a gathering of Jews in Russia, and The Protocols fell into their hands. Then it passed from hand to hand – first, a Morning Post journalist got his hands on it, and later, it was passed around until it reached the British Museum. It was translated into various languages, and despite the [Zionist] efforts to destroy it, it has survived and has been translated. People wrote books based on it – like Henry Ford, author of The International Jew. Even Winston Churchill had confirmed the veracity of the The Protocols, before he placed himself at the service of the Zionists.

Even though they claim that The Protocols does not belong to them, if you examine the last century – or the past fifty or sixty years – you can see they have been acting exactly in keeping with The Protocols.

Said Mostaghasi: Exactly.

Said Mostaghasi: Much to our satisfaction, this series was video-recorded from the IRINN broadcast, and was aired with English subtitles by a renowned foreign network [MEMRI TV].
Interviewer: My colleagues are showing the images now.
Said Mostaghasi: These are images taken from the series, and as you can see, there are English subtitles at the bottom. They even translated and posted a transcript of the show on their website. As you can see, these are the transcripts of the series... This is an English transcript of the series. Yes, this is the transcript of the English translation of the series, which they posted on their websites. I have seen on many websites... One website wrote: "Iranian TV series affirms The Protocols of the Elders of Zion," "promotes conspiracy theories, claims Jews are planning the genocide of humanity, and Iranian Jewish and Bahai communities are plotting to take over Iran."
Interviewer: In other words, they presented their own interpretation of the series.
Said Mostaghasi: True... "This series claims that the Jews..." In our show, we never used the term "Jews." Throughout the series, as you can see in this image, they used the term "Zionist Jew-boys." They themselves added the term "Jew-boys." It is interesting that they translated the term Johoodan as "Jew-boys, and one of the comments posted referred to this as a "devilish prank." This was written by one of their own...
Interviewer: So this website carried out a devilish prank?
Said Mostaghasi: Yes. He said that you cannot translate Johoodan as "Jew-boys." We used the term "Zionist," which means Zionist Jews. Unfortunately, they interpreted this as "Jews," in order to promote their goals, and to bring the issue of genocide to the surface. There have been other things... Other websites have also posted images from the series, under the title "Iranian TV series"...
Interviewer: Can you tell us about this caricature?
Said Mostaghasi: This caricature was published in the foreign press, and it describes the world domination of the Jews – or rather, of the Zionists. This is how it was depicted. It is interesting to note that on Wikipedia, which is essentially an encyclopedia, the entry "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" includes a link to this series. They included this as one of the sources. There are too many responses to mention. I could go on and on about this. The series aroused the wrath of Zionist websites. On the Iranian websites, it has been written: "The Secret of Armageddon – right on the mark." It also aroused the wrath of many Bahai-affiliated websites. They tried to claim that they were not really like they were portrayed, and went on the defensive. Interestingly, some of the people who posted comments were delighted that such dreadful schemes were exposed.
