General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, said to a Channel 1 (Iran) interviewer at Qasem Soleimani’s January 6, 2020 funeral that even attacking every U.S. base, killing President Trump, and killing U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper would not be enough to avenge Soleimani's blood. He said that the blood vengeance should take the form of expelling America’s evil from the region, and he emphasized that this is certain to happen. Claiming that Trump was a "deserter" from the Vietnam war, General Hajizadeh said that Trump should order coffins for the bodies of American soldiers before threatening Iran. He added that if a war breaks out with the United States, Iran will finish and win that war.
General Amir Ali Hajizadeh: "Even if we attack every U.S. base, kill Trump, and kill his Secretary of Defense, this would not be enough to avenge the blood of Hajj Qasem (Soleimani.) The blood vengeance for Hajj Qasem should take the form of expelling America's evil from the region. We should cleanse the region of their accursed presence."
Interviewer: "Will this happen?"
Hajizadeh: "Absolutely. It will happen.

"Trump is a deserter from the Vietnam War. He cannot threaten the Iranian people, who sacrificed 300,000 martyrs. Who the hell is he to threaten us? He must order many coffins for his soldiers before making any threats. I believe that the military officials in America understand this. They must not threaten us. They can be the ones to start it. That's natural. Anyone can light this match. But it will be us who will end the war, and the losers in that war will be the Americans. They need to understand this."
