On November 19, 2020, IRINN TV (Iran) aired a report about the Shahid Roudaki, a new IRGC Navy battleship made from a salvaged Italian shipping freighter. The reporter explained that the Shahid Roudaki is equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and equipment, that it carries aircraft and missile systems, and that it will be deployed in the northern Indian Ocean.
Reporter 1: "The IRGC's logistical [sea] city is ready to make its way to the northern Indian Ocean. Shahid Roudaki, the ocean-crossing ship, is a heavy, multi-purpose, long-range vessel that can carry and launch various aircraft, drones, missile systems, defense systems, and radars."

Reporter 2: "The landing of this helicopter completes the preparation of all the weapons and equipment on the IRGC's first 'battle city' – the intelligence-and-logistics battleship, the Shahid Roudaki. Today, in Bander-e-Abbas, it joined the IRGC's Navy.

"The heavy ship Shahid Roudaki, equipped with state-of-the-art Iranian equipment and weapons, is now [fully] operational, from its missile systems to its drone systems.
