On October 16, Al-Jazeera TV aired a simulation of Jamal Al-Khashoggi's murder at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey. The simulation is based on information leaked by Turkish sources, and it shows Al-Khashoggi being grabbed by two attackers, who injected him in the neck with a syringe.
Narrator: Al-Jazeera was told by Turkish sources that are knowledgeable on the matter that Ankara has audio recordings and other pieces of evidence that prove that Jamal Khashoggi had entered Saudi Consul Mohammed Al-Otaibia's. But after sitting in the office for only two minutes, people entered and spoke to him using harsh language, and then started cursing him and beating him. The sources say that in the audio recordings, Jamas [Khashoggi] is heard talking about the attempt to inject him with syringes. After four minutes of beatings and voices, the voice of Jamal Khashoggi is cut off. According to the sources, Khashoggi's lifeless body was moved from the consul's room to another room. The assassination squad tried to deal with the body. The Turkish investigators are trying to figure out whether the body was dealt with inside the consulate or at the consul's home.
