Jordanian TV Discussion Deteriorates into Brawl over Bashar Al-Assad Name-Calling

A debate featuring Jordanian commentators Muhammad Sharif Al-Jayousi and Musa Al-Abdallat turned ugly when Al-Jayousi took offense to Al-Abdallat calling Bashar Al-Assad a criminal and a bloodshedder. Following are excerpts from the show, which aired on JoSat TV and was posted on the Internet on March 9, 2014:

Musa Al-Abdallat: The Jordanian people and all the Arab and Muslim peoples should not be treated as fools. The criminal in the region is the bloodshedder Bashar Al-Assad...

Muhammad Sharif Al-Jayousi: Enough with the name calling... Listen to me carefully... I will use you to mop the floor...

Al-Jayousi gets up and approaches Al-Abdallat, who grabs his papers and goes for cover behind the TV host

TV host: Don’t you curse anyone. I won’t allow it.

Muhammad Sharif Al-Jayousi: Who the hell are you to curse others?!

Al-Abdallat hurries off the set, with Al-Jayousi going after him

TV host: Get out!
