Kuwaiti Islamic Scholar And Muslim Brotherhood Leader Tareq Al-Suwaidan: Number Of Palestinian Casualties 'Meaningless' Considering The Size Of The Islamic Nation; October 7 Was A Miracle Of Planning; Gaza Was Destroyed – But Not By Us

Kuwaiti Islamic scholar and Muslim Brotherhood leader Tareq Al-Suwaidan said in a lecture that was posted on August 1, 2024 on his YouTube channel that October 7 was a "miracle of planning," and that it should be taught in the most prestigious universities. He said that it is true that Gaza was destroyed, but it was not done by the Muslims. Al-Suwaidan continued to say that the casualties should be calculated in a relative manner, because 10,000 casualties out of a nation of 100 million is "meaningless." He continued to say that this is in contrast to the Israelis for whom every life is precious, because they have to spend millions to bring people in to the country. Al-Suwaidan said that if it were possible, he would take a weapon and go fight in Palestine.

Tareq Al-Suwaidan, who openly promotes jihad, calling to "let the mujahideen do their work," urges Muslims to plan to "wipe out Israel," and in 2013 was fired from his position as director of the Saudi Al-Risala TV after announcing online that he is a Muslim Brotherhood leader. He currently resides in Turkey. Al-Suwaidan spent several years as an Islamic leader in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was an unindicted co-conspirator in the case against Hamas terrorism funding by the Holy Land Foundation, and has been banned from entering several countries, including the United States and Belgium, for antisemitism and supporting terrorism.

Tareq Al-Suwaidan: "While the Zionist world stood by Israel, our Islamic nation deserted the mujahideen with the exception of the Shi'ites, and I apologize for being bold. The Shi'ites are the only ones who stood by them. It's a disgrace. As Sunnis, our entire history is glorious, but when this historic moment arrives, we let them down. Naturally, not all of us have let them down. I didn't. I do not know who let them down, but it wasn't me. Not me. By Allah, if I could take a weapon and if I could find a way to get there, I would have done it.

"What I saw on October 7 was a miracle of planning, which should be taught in the most prestigious universities. Both the planning and the coordination were exceptional. Those people carried out what they were asked to do and more. The mere fact that they have persevered is a victory, as far as I am concerned.

"Now, some people are crying that Gaza has been destroyed. This is true, but it was not done by us. Your calculation [of the causalities] should be relative. If you are a nation of one million people, and 10,000 die, that's one percent, right? If you are a nation of 100 million people, and 10,000 people die, it's meaningless. So what if you are a nation of 1.5 billion people and 50,000 die? Of course, every soul is to dear us, but I'm trying to simplify this for you and compare our losses with theirs. Why is every single person so precious for the [Israelis]? Because they spend millions to bring them [from abroad]."
