Perhaps we are constantly searching for a way to console ourselves when among the American administration we find those who we think are sympathetic to Arab affairs. We imagine and dream but the truth is different. When we talk about Condoleeza Rice, we must remember her black positions on Arab affairs, which were worse than Colin Powell's. But the truth is that just as Colin Powell's moderation did not help us in the past Condoleeza Rice's hawkish opinions will not harm us in the future.
