Lebanese Professor Hasan Al-Juny: Zionism Is Worse than Cancer, More Like a Germ

The following are excerpts from an interview with Professor Hasan Al-Juni from the Lebanese University, which aired on Sahar 1 TV on August 23, 2005.

Al-Juni: Judaism... Sorry, I mean Zionism - we should distinguish Judaism from Zionism - Zionism isn't merely the enemy of the Arabs and the Palestinians, Zionism is even...

Host: It is even the enemy of Judaism, according to some of the Jews.

Al-Juni: I agree. The first victims of Zionism were the Jews. They have used Jews and Judaism as a means of realizing the dangerous Zionist goal. This is why they are enemies of humanity.

Al-Juni: This isn't a case of regular occupation, like when Nazi Germany occupied France, in which the French could hold a dialogue with the German occupiers, in order to ask them to leave. We face a very dangerous problem.

Host: Unlike the American occupation of Vietnam...

Al-Juni: We face a reality... We have always said...

Host: It is a matter of existence...

Al-Juni: We've always said that the existence of the Zionist entity is cancerous, that it is a cancer in the region. I've always opposed this. Saying this is a cancer means that this entity came from within the body, since cancer comes from within the body. But the Zionist cancer... The Zionist movement and the Israeli entity came from outside. We face a germ that came from outside the body...

Host: With cancerous symptoms...

Al-Juni: Of course, it spreads like cancer, but it is essentially a germ, and thus it is in no way possible to compare the Zionist enemy to any other occupation in the world.
