The following are excerpts from an interview with Director of the Al-Maqreze Centre for Historical Studies, Hani Al-Siba'i, which aired on ANB TV on July 31, 2005.
Siba'i I say that Islam forbids the killing of innocent people in London, Egypt, America, and anywhere in the world. I am surprised by the multitude of fatwas that are issued, ruling that Islam "prohibits the killing of the innocent." This goes without saying.

All books of jurisprudence state that it is forbidden to target women and children, who are not infidels... who are not Muslims... I mean, the infidels. Even an infidel who is a combatant - who has with him women who do not fight or children who do not fight - you cannot target them because they do not fight.

The website of MEMRI lies in wait for the Muslims and distorts their words. I sent them a message saying that they had lied and distorted my words. The Sunday Times sent me a letter from a lawyer saying that they are reviewing things from the legal perspective. Allah willing, I will sue them.
Regarding my position, I say again: I say... it isn't just me, it is Islam that prohibits the killing of the innocent in London, Paris, New York, Egypt, and anywhere in the world.
