Manolo De Los Santos, executive director and founder of the People's Forum, said in an October 5, 2024 NYC rally titled "One Year of Genocide, One Year of Resistance," marking the anniversary of October 7: "We have a common enemy - the Palestinians and us – our common enemy continues to be Washington D.C." He said that on October 7, 2023, Palestinians broke out of a "concentration camp," in order to teach a lesson to the world that the only way to live with dignity is to fight against U.S. imperialism. Manolo De Los Santos and the People's Forum are reported to have financial ties with the Chinese Communist Party. Video footage of the rally was streamed live on BreakThrough news on YouTube.

Manolo De Los Santos: "Israel is not a country! Israel is not a country! Israel is a U.S. military base in the Middle East. From its military base in the Middle East, the U.S. has used Israel as the launching pad for all of its imperialist interventions in the Middle East. For each of these 76 years, in which the U.S. and its proxy Israel have tortured, killed, and genocided the peoples of the Middle East, there have also been 76 years of resistance.
"We salute the glorious resistance of the people of Yemen, of Iraq, of Iran, of the people of Lebanon, of the people of Gaza. All the people of the Arab world are teaching us a lesson. The only way to live with dignity is to fight, to resist, to never give up!

"On October 7, the Palestinian people broke out of a concentration camp, but they broke out not only for their own freedom – they broke out to wake up the world, and to deliver a burning message to all our hearts and all our bodies, the world has to rise up, to fight back against U.S. imperialism. We have a common enemy – the Palestinians and us – our common enemy continues to be Washington D.C."
