Mohammadreza Gholamreza, former deputy of IRGC Qods Force commander Qasem Soleimani discussed Iran's retribution for the assassination of Soleimani and PMU deputy leader Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis by President Trump's first administration in 2020, in an interview that was aired on Channel 1 (Iran), on November 3, 2024. He suggested that Iran should adopt the Israeli policy of hunting down Nazis and killing them even after many years have already passed and implement this to the killers of Soleimani and Al-Muhandis. Gholamreza added that there should also be a group of people that would identify Israeli soldiers from photos they posted on social media and hunt them down. Gholamreza added that they should feel too unsafe to travel abroad.
Mohammadreza Gholamreza: "Iraq should be ready to do more than firing cruise missiles or drones [at Israel]. If necessary, the American bases, resources, and assets in Iraq should go up in flames. This is very important.

"The Israelis—the Zionists—established an 'equation' that has repeated itself to this day. They hunted down the people who had tortured and murdered Jews in the [Nazi] camps, whether those people were in a position of power or not. They tracked them down for many years all over the world and killed them, or brought them [to Israel] to stand trial. This equation has repeated itself in the following manner: Whoever threatens Israel's security should be destroyed.
"We could establish the same equation, and set the same principle, hunt down the killers of Hajj Qasem [Soleimani] and Abu Mahdi [Al-Muhandis], and kill them, even if it takes years.

"We have reports that Israel is sending the [soldiers] who are committing atrocities in Gaza and southern Lebanon, on vacation to Egypt, Turkey, Bahrain, and the UAE. They go there as tourists.

"The murderous Zionists should not feel safe anywhere. They should lose their sense of security. Israel will only agree to negotiate if you inflict causalities on them. The casualties are very important to the equation I mentioned. They hit Haniyeh… There is a group of people that is formed in order to identify and hunt down the soldiers committing these crimes, by means of the pictures they publish on social media. Even if you are unable to hunt them down now, they should feel psychologically unsafe to leave the occupied territories."
