In an October 7, 2024 march in New York City, marking the first anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, MAS – Muslim American Society Youth Center religious director, Mohammad Badawy, said that "the end all and be all for us is the struggle itself, not the results." Participants at the march carried flags of Hizbullah and Hamas’s Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, and stomped an Israeli flag. MAS Staten Island Center political director Abdullah Aql led the crowd in chanting: "Gaza, you will rise, Palestine will never die!" The march was organized by Within Our Lifetime.

Abdullah Aql: "Gaza, Gaza, you will rise!"

Mohammad Badawy: "I have a promise from Allah, and He told us: 'As for those who struggle in Our cause, We will surely guide them along Our Way.' 'Those who strive in Our Cause' – those who give it their all, those who don't give up – 'We will guide them to Our path,' We will show them the way. The struggle is the point.

"The end of the road for us – the end and be all for us – is the struggle itself, not the results, so wherever it goes, we will always be here."
