During a speech following his return from a visit to Iran, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan denied having referred to Jews as termites, but said that if he had said it, people should have responded by saying "damn right." He suggested that those who criticized his statements should examine themselves at see what it is that is "eating at the foundations of [their] moral discipline." He also said that white Jews are not real Semitic people who are native to Palestine, and said that Ashkenazi European Jews have no connection to the holy land. He said that they "crept out of Europe" and stole the birthright of the Semitic Jews, and that they are therefore the real antisemites. Farrakhan then called his "enemies" to a "showdown" at Madison Square Garden, saying: "Come on out, [Jonathan] Greenblatt of the ADL, and bring [former director Abraham] Foxman with you..." Come on out, Alan Dershowitz... We won't kill you, even though you may be worthy of death." The crowd cheered excitedly at Farrakhan's remarks. The speech was uploaded to the Nation of Islam's YouTube channel on November 18, 2018.
Following are excerpts:
Louis Farrakhan: I said: "They call me antisemite." I said: "No, I'm anti-termite."

"Why would he say something like that?" Hell, if I did say it, what do you have to say about it? How's the foundation of your house? What is eating at the foundation of your moral discipline? Some termite is eating at you.

If I said it, you should have said: "Damn right."

Why isn't the white man a native anywhere? No, you're not a native Palestinian. No, you're not. You didn't originate there. But if you did, you're the real Semitic people. But the Ashkenazi European, he has no connection at all to the holy land. None. So, in a showdown, prove to us that you are Semitic.

White people are not natural people on our planet. See if you were natural, you would be a native. The native Palestinians are Semitic people. Been in Palestine for thousands of years. But this, that crept out of Europe, stealing the birthright of the Semitic Jews, the Semitic Arabs, he's against the Palestinians. They're Semitic people. Well, where's the real antisemite?

I'm calling for my enemies, I'd like to get Don King to promote it, a showdown at Madison Square Garden, a showdown. Why not? We ready to die for what we believe. So, come on out, Mr. [Jonathan] Greenblatt of the ADL, and bring Mr. [former director Abraham] Foxman with you. Come out, Alan Dershowitz, come on out, you that say, we are haters, and antisemites, come on out from your hiding place, leave your niggers at home.

You think that the Nation is only Louis Farrakhan, you think that I'm the only one that can battle this enemy and beat him down? We got stars here.

We got your history, we know who you are, and we'll be glad to share that knowledge with you, and by the way, we won't kill you, even though you may be worthy of death.
