Palestinian Islamic scholar Sheikh Yousef Makharzah, who is affiliated with Hizb ut-Tahrir, said in a video posted on the Hizb ut-Tahrir-linked Al-Waqiyah TV YouTube channel on February 8, 2023 that Islam and fighting are "inseparable," that infidels are "insolent," and that the only thing that can keep them from seizing peoples' wives and property is fear. He also told his audience to "prepare" to "go and fight the infidels in America" because it is the center of global corruption.
Yousef Makharzah: "Islam and fighting are inseparable. How come? Because the infidels are insolent. If an infidel sees that you have a good wife, he says: 'I want her. Give me your wife.' If he sees that your land is good, he says: 'I want your land.'

"The only thing that keeps him away from you is fear. Without fear, he will not stay away from you. This is why Allah said to Muhammad: 'Fight for the sake of Allah.'

"You should prepare to go and fight the infidels in America, before they come here. If you do not go after them, they will come after you. America today leads the world in corruption. It is the pharaoh of this world. Every day, it occupies another country and commits slaughter there. This is a violation of human rights and runs counter to America's values. If you ask them why they kill these poor, wretched people, they tell you that this is a preemptive war, because these people are terrorists, and if we do not go to their own turf and strike them in their caves before they grow stronger, they will come after us. America allowed for a preemptive war, using this argument.
