The following is a scene from the Syrian-produced TV series Al-Shatat. Al-Shatat was first aired on Hizbullah's Al-Manar TV during the month of Ramadan 2003, and then on two Iranian channels during Ramadan 2004. Al-Mamnou' TV, a new Jordanian channel, is airing Al-Shatat during Ramadan 2005.
In this scene, the global Jewish government, now headed by Lord Rothschild, convenes in England and resolves to start World War I.
Lord Rothschild: First, I thank you very much for electing me head of the global Jewish government. I promise you that I will make every effort to realize our goals and establish the great Jewish empire for the Chosen People in the Promised Land. Now, let's discuss the matters for which we have convened. Assuming we all agree about starting the war in Europe, and we all agree that this war must not benefit in any way the parties at war, let us discuss only the issues in dispute. Rabbi, can you explain why you insist on starting a war between Greece and the Ottoman Empire?
The rabbi: Simply, because Greece will defeat the aging empire and divide it and then the European countries will compete amongst themselves to divide the spoils of the Arab world, and this will certainly lead to all-out war in Europe.
Lord Rothschild: Who agrees with the Rabbi’s analysis? The subject is closed. Mr. Haim, consider yourself from this moment responsible for this matter.
Mr. Haim: All right.
Lord Rothschild: We want to hear the roar of cannons within a month at most.
Mr. Haim: Perhaps you will hear it within less than a month.
Lord Rothschild: Does anyone object? In the name of the global Jewish government, I resolve to start the European war in Serbia. This year here and next year in Jerusalem.
The participants: This year here and next year in Jerusalem.
