Resigning Lebanese Interior Minister Sleiman Frangiyeh: Walid Jumblatt Should Stand Trial in the Hague for the Massacres He Committed

#584 | 49
Source: Al-Manar TV (Lebanon)

The following are excerpts from a speech by resigning Lebanese Minister of Interior, Sleiman Frangiyeh. Al-Manar TV aired this speech on March 1, 2005:

Sleiman Frangiyeh: It is regrettable that someone who deserves to be sentenced in the Hague for the massacres he's committed has become the symbol of democracy, the symbol of justice, and the symbol of human rights. I thought that a man like Walid Jumblatt should have been in the Hague, instead of demanding freedom and democracy. Before he demands the rights of the Christians, he should give back the church bells he keeps in his house.
