During a sermon at the Mosquée Ennour in Toulouse, France, Imam Mohamed Tatai, formerly imam of the mosque and now Imam of the new Grand Mosque of Toulouse, recounted an antisemitic hadith, according to which the Muslims would fight the Jews on Judgment Day, and the stones and the trees would reveal the Jews hiding behind them. Imam Tatai further said that the Jews and Christians also believe these prophecies, claiming that the Israeli prime minister "was afraid that Israel would not live longer than 76 years," and that when former Israeli president Shimon Peres died two years ago, people believed that this was "the funeral of Israel." The December 15, 2017 sermon was posted on the YouTube channel of the Grande Mosquée de Toulouse on January 30.
Mohamed Tatai: "[The Prophet Muhammad] told us about the final and decisive battle: 'Judgement Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews. The Jews will hide behind the stones and the trees, and the stones and the trees will say: Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him – except for the Gharqad tree, which is one of the trees of the Jews.' This hadith was narrated by Imam Muslim. The Christians and the Jews also believe these prophecies.

"The [Israeli] prime minister was at a meeting in his home. This was reported in the media. He said: 'We are now celebrating the centenary of the Balfour Declaration, and 31 years from now, we will be celebrating the centenary of the State of Israel. I pledge to you that I will do this, that, and the other.' Then he said... And this is amazing... He said that he was afraid that Israel would not live longer than 76 years – as is written in the prophecies of [the Jews]. Therefore, when their president died two years ago, and people came to pay their last respects, one of their well-known journalists said: 'People did not come today to the funeral of Peres, but to the funeral of Israel.'"
