In his November 8, 2024, Friday sermon in Jericho, West Bank, Dr. Nasser Al-Qaram, head of the Shari’a Court of Appeals in Nablus, declared that “the greatest triumph is martyrdom for Allah.” He spoke of the souls of martyrs ascending to Allah above the destruction in Gaza and emphasized that martyrdom is a priority for Muslims. Quoting the Quran, he described martyrdom as a “transaction” in which Allah "purchases" the lives and possessions of believers in exchange for Paradise. The sermon was aired on Palestine TV.
