On November 27, 2016, it was reported that Iran's Ashiyane Digital Security Team had uncovered a vulnerability in version 10.0 of the Acunetix vulnerability scanner. The hackers discovered that they were able to inject code into vulnerable dynamic link libraries (DLLs) to compromise the process or obtain higher access privileges.
