Pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Tech Outlet Warns New Encrypted Platform Used By ISIS Media, Is Unsafe; ISIS Supporter Calls To Leave Telegram

The Islamic State (ISIS) has recently begun to distribute its official media on a new messaging app, following a wave of ISIS account deletions on Telegram. On December 13, 2024, a pro-ISIS outlet which provides information security tips on the ISIS-operated Rocket.Chat server published a poster discussing whether the online platform is safe or not.

On the same day, a user on the Rocket.Chat server posted that Telegram channels affiliated with ISIS are in danger, noting that hackers recently posted screenshots allegedly documenting their hacking of ISIS Telegram accounts. The user then urged fellow supporters to abandon Telegram.
