Due to a recent string of attempts to hack the website of India's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), authorities have blocked access to it from Pakistan. Pakistani users attempting to access the site encounter the message: "The owner of this website (bjp.org) has banned your IP address on the country or region you are accessing it from."

The website for BJP candidate for prime minister Narendra Modi (narendramodi.in) has also been blocked for access from Pakistan.

This move comes after Pakistani hacker attacks on other BJP-related websites such as the website for BJP leader LK Advani and the Bihar BJP site.

The BJP said in response that the block was an automatic security measure and that they have requested the internet service provider to unblock it.
