Iranian Hacker Group Claims Responsibility For Hacking New York Dam

The Iranian hacker group Parastoo has claimed responsibility for a cyber-attack on the Bowman Avenue dam in New York City in 2013. NY Senator Charles Schumer publicly stated that the attack had taken place in 2013 and was perpetrated by unnamed Iranian hackers, leading the group to post a claim of responsibility on several hacker forums.

In 2012, Parastoo also claimed responsibility for hacking the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
