On July 17, 2023, a Telegram channel which supports Iran-backed militias in Iraq commented on the recent video published by Lebanese Hizbullah showing fighters simulating a raid on Israeli positions. The channel pointed out different weapons shown in the video, adding that Lebanese Hizbullah officially announced that it uses the Iranian-made Shahed-136 drone.
