Egyptian writer Farida El-Choubachy said in a November 5, 2020 interview on Ten TV (Egypt) that the Nasser era had been the most beautiful period in the history of the Egyptian people. Farida El-Choubachy: "Yes, I idolize him for a lot of reasons. For example..."

El-Choubachy: "The heroes of the crossing were us and our army."

El-Choubachy: "Have you ever seen such a warm welcome, in any Arab country, like the one Abdel Nasser received? Have you ever seen or heard, even in the foreign media, of such a funeral like the funeral of Abdel Nasser? It is said that it was the largest funeral in history."

Interviewer: "Well of course... The intervention in Yemen... He sent forces..."
