Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah Threatens to Target Ships Bound for Israeli Ports

#2525 | 02:35
Source: Al-Manar TV (Lebanon)

Following are excerpts from an address delivered by Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, which aired on Al-Manar TV on May 25, 2010:

Hassan Nasrallah: In any future war that you would like to wage against Lebanon – if you decide to lay a blockade on our shores and ports, all the merchant, civil, and military ships en route to the ports of Palestine [i.e. Israeli ports] on the Mediterranean will come within range of the Islamic resistance missiles.

Crowd cheers

Hassan Nasrallah: I am talking about the Mediterranean Sea. We haven’t started with the Red Sea yet.

Crowd cheers

Hassan Nasrallah: These ships, en route to any Mediterranean port in Palestine, from north to south – we are capable of targeting and striking them, Allah willing. We are determined to enter this new field of conflict, if they besiege our shores. So if after this, no ship can leave [Lebanon], no one should complain to us. But when the world sees how ships are destroyed, in the territorial waters of occupied Palestine, no one will dare go there, just like no one will be able to come to our shores.
