The following are excerpts from an Al-Arabiya TV interview with Muhammad Haydar, chairman of the board of Al-Manar TV who speaks about the agreement the Hizbullah channel signed in France, allowing it to broadcast in Europe:
Muhammad Haydar: The agreement is a detailed contractual formulation of the requirements stemming from the Television and Radio Law in France. The agreement focuses on several issues, the main one being refraining from incitement to violence and hatred on a religious or racial basis. We have reached this agreement easily because of the good will on both sides. The [French] position was, indeed, positive, which isn't surprising concerning the balanced French throughout history.
Reporter: The directors of Al-Manar TV and the French authorities agreed on definitions of the terms "incitement", "violence" and "hate," according to sources in the Lebanese channel.
